Title: Dupont™ Antron® Chosen for Inspirational New Carpet Tile Collection
Heavy wear qualities and depth and clarity of colour were prerequisites for Gaskell Carpet Tiles when the company set out to develop Optimum, its new composite collection of contract carpet tiles. Gaskell’s desire to create a superlative colour palette at the heart of the collection - designed to inspire architects and designers working in modern commercial interiors - made DuPont™ Antron® the natural choice of fibre for the design team.
Optimum Chroma luxury plain cut pile tiles, specially developed in Antron Supra yarn to impart a natural lustre, form the core colour bank of the collection Graduated for ease of selection and colour co-ordination, Optimum Chroma comprises eighty commercially attractive solid shades in natural, earthy and vibrant tones.
Optimum Create brings together plain, patterned and textured loop pile tiles. Twenty Optimum Chroma colours are presented alongside ten patterned cut pile tiles made with Antron Supra, and ten Textured Loops made with Antron Excel SC.
The Optimum Contour range completes the collection – nine plain cut pile tiles manufactured from Dupont Anton Supra yarn to maintain their rich colour, with individual tufts of accent colour inserted through the tile.
Gaskell’s Head of Design Darren Clanford says: “We had no hesitation in specifying DuPont Antron yarns across the four different substrates which make up the Optimum collection.
Our aim was to ensure that the aesthetic appeal of Optimum was matched by the highest wear performance and luxurious underfoot comfort.”
Presented in a three volume portfolio of shadecards, containing removable samples for ease of colour co-ordination, Optimum, made with Dupont Antron yarns now provides an exciting source of inspiration for the designer and architect seeking new ways to use colour and texture in floorcovering design schemes.
